A steam-assisted flare uses high-pressure steam injection at the flare tip to enhance mixing of hydrocarbon gases with air, ensuring complete and smokeless combustion. These are the most common type of smokeless flares used in refineries, petrochemical plants, and chemical processing facilities, particularly where heavy hydrocarbon gases are present
